Jurassic Park just lends itself a little too easily to parody.
After Sesame Street released a parody of Jurassic Park with Cookie Monster and a gingerbread T-rex chasing each other, much to the amusement of Jurassic Park fans, another hilarious YouTube parody of the famous franchise emerged recently, where almost all the important characters can be seen sporting high heels.
Made by XVP Comedy , an umbrella term for a group of Chicago filmmakers, this short video claims to have drawn inspiration from the chasing sequence in the latest Jurassic Park film Jurassic World where Bryce Dallas Howard’s character treks through the forest and shoots flying dinosaurs while wearing a pair of high heels.
Such a disbelief suspending-moment was undoubtedly begging for a parody from the internet world, and now the guys at XVP comedy have duly obliged.

In the Jurassic Park : High Heels rendition, all the major characters spanning the four films of the Jurassic Park franchise are seen wearing colorful high heels, from Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm to Laura Dern’s Ellie Sattler to Richard Attenborough’s John Hammond. Sometimes they are flashing their elegant footwear in innocuous situations, while at other times they are caught in life-threatening action sequences akin to the one in Jurassic World .
It makes for a wonderful parody, which builds up to the point where even the dinosaurs are seen flaunting their strappy stilettos. Watch the hilarious video here.

This latest Jurassic Park parody has already received widespread attention from pop-culture critics, with the Los Angeles Times having only good things to say about the video.
“It’s kind of like when the agents in ‘E.T.’ were digitally given walkie-talkies instead of guns in later DVD editions — except without the overwhelming backlash from fans. Oh, Spielberg. If only this DVD box set were real because the promo line, ‘Footwear sixty five million years in the making’ is a new classic.”
The sound effects add to the comic element of the Jurassic Park parody, People noted in their review of the clip.
“It’s worth watching for the sound effects alone – trust us. You probably never realized how much a nice pair of pumps can amp up even the most hardcore action scene.”
