As the world swoons over her voice, there are a few people out there who are saying Susan Boyle is a scam for 2 reasons:
First of all, in order to be accepted on the show, Britain’s got Talent contestants must be true amateur performers and not have been recorded for commercial purposes before. The Daily Record however, has dug up a CD where Susan Boyle sang “Cry Me A River” as one of the tracks. The CD was for a charity organization and only 1000 copies were ever produced.

Secondly, the folks over at Paddy Power are not so inclined to swallow the whole Susan Boyle thing hook line and sinker like everyone else. Here’s what they had to say:

Some have implicated that her doughty appearance and simple lifestyle were exaggerated to increase the impact of her majestic voice. Some 30 million YouTube hits later, the Scottish beauty and 48 year old virgin has a world audience and is to go on a date with Piers Morgan. Morgan said Boyle had “great appeal and charm” and invited her out as both were interviewed on American talk show Larry King Live. Cherries for desert?
So we are finding out that this whole thing could be an elaborate ruse to fool the media and general public into thinking she’s 100% authentic. So what do you say – is she too good to be true?
