Kelly Ripa just became a blue-haired bombshell. The co-host of Live! With Kelly and Michael couldn’t resist the temptation to indulge her desire to transform herself via her hair stylist, reported Fox News .

But Ripa had a few problems along the way.

“We dyed it blue, and it turned a lime green,” admitted the bubbly talk show host.

While her sons were thrilled, Mark Consuelos wasn’t exactly complimentary when he viewed what his wife had done to her hair.

“Oh my gosh, you look like the Lucky Charms guy,” announced Mark.

However, added Kelly, her boys’ excitement over Ripa’s blue hair more than compensated for her husband’s put-down.

“They think I look like a superhero,” laughed Kelly.

Kelly initially planned to try for red hair after unveiling her pink period.

“I think I might go red next,” said Ripa as she showed off her pink hair. “When we first put it on it looked really red and I was like, ‘I like it!’ I tried a red wig once and I was drunk with power.”

As the Inquisitr reported, Kelly revealed that she gets bored with just one color, citing that as her reason.

“Call me pinky galore!” suggested Kelly during her pink-hair passion period. “Every time I get ready to go on vacation I dye my hair a different color. It’ll wash out….I get bored.”

In addition, Kelly shared her diet tips , which involve an alkaline diet, reported E News .

Called the “Get Off Your Acid” cleanse, Ripa’s food plan is a cleanse that focuses on specific food groups, explained her nutrition specialist Dr. Daryl Gioffre, who created the AlkaMind plan.

“It was always my goal to create this 7-day cleanse that wasn’t going to do all those things that people think about cleanses,” explained Dr. Gioffre. “Everyone thinks you’re going to be starving all the week. And you have to drink this green, nasty bug juice, or you’re going to be in the bathroom all week, and you’re going to be miserable.”

Dieters skip processed foods, dairy, meat, and items high in sugar. Instead, the diet involves alkaline-rich foods such as kale, spinach, nuts, seeds, avocados and quinoa. Drinking plenty of water and eating leafy greens are keys to success.

Dr. Daryl revealed that his clients lose up to 14 pounds in seven days, and typically don’t feel hungry.

“Some people even eat more,” he added. “You’re eating nutrient-dense, alkaline food that is very cleansing for the body. I think that’s why the success rate on the cleanse is so high, people are enjoying the process.”
