Boston University medical student Philip Markoff has been arrested by Boston Police on suspicion of being the “Craigslist Killer.”
Markoff stands accused of murdering masseuse Julissa Brisman and the robbery of another woman who both advertised their services on Craigslist.
Markoff, originally from New York State but currently living in Quincy, just south of Boston, is believed to be a 2007 graduate of the State University of New York-Albany and studying in the 2011 class at Boston University. Philip Markoff was also engaged, and has a site for his wedding which is still online here.
Markoff had been followed for several days prior to the arrest after police received a tip-off after video footage taken near the scene of one of the crimes was released in an appeal for help. Markoff is expected to be arraigned Tuesday
