It’s been no secret that the death of Paul Walker has affected all of his Fast and Furious costars, especially Vin Diesel . The loss of Walker has seemingly affected Diesel in a very deep way, with Vin even naming his daughter Paulina in honor of his lost costar and friend. Even though it’s been a year and half since losing the Fast and Furious star, Diesel still takes the time to remember his friend, this time in the form of a song.
Diesel posted a video online that featured him singing along with Tove Lo’s “Habits.” What makes the performance a tribute is that as Diesel sings in the forefront of the video, in the background there is a video playing of Diesel and his late friend.
Diesel posted the video Wednesday on Facebook with the caption, “The ever continuing process of healing…”
As Billboard says, in the video, “ Diesel wraps his gravelly voice ” around the song “in a slow, piano backed rendition.”
While Diesel starts off a little shaky, as he continues the song, it’s clear that Diesel “can count singing tributes among his talents,” says Time .
Diesel also sang a part of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again,” which was created as a tribute for Walker for the latest Fast and Furious film. For both tributes, Vin opens with saying that it’s for his friend, Pablo, clearly his nickname for his lost friend.
While it may seem an odd choice of song as tribute for Walker seeing as how Tove Lo wrote it about a relationship gone wrong that left her trying to find herself through “ banned substances ,” says the BBC , the sentiment is similar, being lost after someone has left you.
So, how did people feel about Vin’s heartfelt tribute? Many people took to Twitter to share how it made them “emotional” and how Diesel’s performance was “beautiful.”

While it appears that Diesel’s tribute was a hit, what’s more important was the fact that it appeared to all that it was heartfelt.
Paul Walker may be gone, but it’s quite clear that his family and friends, the people who loved him the most such as Vin Diesel, will not be forgetting him.
