Sen’Derrick Marks attended prom with an 18-year-old who has cancer, and the story has gone viral. According to the Huffington Post , the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle partnered with the Dreams Come True program, and was able to do something memorable, and super sweet for a girl who has had a rough time battling a nasty disease.

Khameyea Jennings was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2013. She has been in and out of the Wolfson Children’s Hospital where she has been stuck with needles, receiving chemotherapy, and spending many of her days feeling pretty lousy. However, there was one day in particular that Khameyea will never forget, and it was likely one of the best days she has had over the past two years.

Sen’Derrick Marks asked Khameyea to prom, showing up at the hospital last week with a bouquet of red roses. The video will undoubtedly warm your heart.

“I talked with your mom, she said it was OK. I heard you had a prom this weekend and I wanted to know if I can take you to prom,” Marks said. According to Sporting News , Khameyea’s prom was on May 2. Marks picked her up in a black Lamborghini, and wore a white and gold tux, just like his date asked.

Meanwhile, Khameyea looked like a princess. She wore a long flowing wig, and a sparkly tiara, which was a gift from her date. Perhaps the most beautiful part of her look was her smile.

Sen’Derrick Marks attending prom with Khameyea was very special for them both. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Marks was very particular about what charity he wanted to team up with because he wanted to be sure that whatever he did made a significant difference in someone’s life. It’s safe to say that he had quite the impact on Khameyea.

According to the Huffington Post , Dreams Come True is a “program that helps fulfill the wishes of children and teens in Florida who have life-threatening illnesses.”

Marks doesn’t tweet a lot, but he sent out this message after Saturday’s prom.
