Amy Poehler is known for her comedic timing, but she got serious in deciding on a new ‘do. Good-bye, Amy of the blonde tresses, hello Poehler the redhead , reported WonderWall .
When to debut that new hairdo? Amy decided that the ideal occasion to mark her new mane was the 60th anniversary celebration of Allen Ginsberg’s poem “Howl.” However, she refrained from asking the audience to howl over her hair.
But the switch to red denies what Poehler previously said about the joys of being a blonde , reported Hollywood Life .
“Believe me, blonde hair can take you really far, especially with the older men. It can really distract from the face,” wrote Amy in her book Yes, Please .
However, Khloe Kardashian apparently agrees that blondes have more fun, because she just went platinum, reported Us Weekly .
The unveiling of her newly blonde hair was revealed at LAX. She and her family are on the go, and Kim Kardashian’s and Kanye West’s daughter, North West, had fun at the airport as her aunt Khloe displayed her new hair.
Little North West, known as Nori, likes to ride the luggage, and Khloe posted a photo of her niece traveling in style.
“Rollin with the homies!” wrote Khloe.
Khloe isn’t the only Kardashian sister to enjoy changing her hair color. As the Inquisitr reported, Kim Kardashian turned heads by dying her hair platinum blonde, exhibiting it to the delight of the paparazzi at Paris Fashion Week.
But although photographers adored her blonde hair, Kim herself wasn’t so thrilled.
“Being blonde is a full time job,” complained Kardashian as to why she decided to go back to brunette.
So why did Kim go blonde in the first place? She felt inspired by the combination of Madonna and Paris Fashion Week, according to People .
“I’ve always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer and I’ve been waiting a long time to try the look. I thought what better time than right now for Paris Fashion Week. It was a really last minute decision.”
So what’s next for Kim Kardashian? She just might follow her younger sister Kylie Jenner’s lead.
“I think it would be really fun to try that short turquoise hair that Kylie has,” revealed Kim.
