British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has announced that the UK Government will soon allow the public to give eBay style ratings for Government services.

The ability to provide feedback will be offered for Government funded doctors, hospitals, schools and councils. “We have clearly got the balance wrong when online businesses have higher standards of transparency than they public services we pay for and support” said Brown.

According to The Next Web , the first ratings website for local council services is due in May this year, and for Doctors in the northern summer.

No word yet from Britain’s army of solicitors, because they’re all down at the local pub celebrating the news.
