Jennifer Aniston Believes Tabloids Publish Nothing But ‘B.S.’

Jennifer Aniston doesn’t spend a lot of time worrying about tabloids these days. In the actress’ humble opinion, those publications are, in short, full of crap.

Like Kim Kardashian, gossip rags spend a fair amount of time speculating about Aniston’s private life. If they’re not picking on the former Friends star about her lack of offspring, they’re spreading rumors about her relationship with writer/actor Justin Theroux. Not surprisingly, Jennifer doesn’t have a subscription to Life & Style magazine.

According to the folks over at Access Hollywood , Aniston doesn’t hold a very high opinion of these highly questionable publications. In fact, she firmly believes these outlets frequently print the journalistic equivalent of fecal matter. Ouch.

During her chat with CBS Sunday Morning , an interview that’s presently slated to air on Sunday (January 4), Jennifer Aniston discussed her tumultuous relationship with the media. If the actress feels the sting of these constant rumors about her personal life, then she did a remarkable job of keeping those feelings under lock and key.

“Just don’t pay attention. There was a period where I was hell-bent on saying, ‘That’s not true, that’s not right, that’s not fair.’ And now I just think you have to let it roll off your back, and you realize, I think everyone knows it’s all B.S. and like soap opera on paper.”

At the moment, Aniston has much more important career-oriented things to worry about. The Hollywood Reporter points out that the actress recently took home the Montecito Award at this year’s Santa Barbara Film Fest for her role in the acclaimed drama Cake . SBIFF executive director Roger Durling had nothing but the highest praise for Jennifer’s performance in director Daniel Barnz’s low-budget indie outing.

“Once in a while a performer who we thought we knew gets outside of his or her comfort zone and shows us the unexpected. When that happens it is cause for celebration — and this is why the 2015 Montecito Award is bestowed upon Ms. Aniston.”

Considering the mountains of praise Jennifer Aniston is receiving for the flick, it’s not altogether shocking that she doesn’t have time for the sort of drivel found in supermarket tabloids. Instead of dwelling on the negatives, Aniston focuses on the positive.

“The main thing is to try to just keep refocusing back on what you know is true and what makes you guys happy and, you know. We know what our truth is… That’s all just static.”

Do you agree with Jennifer Aniston that tabloids are full of “b.s.”?
