Gang member Damien Watts was convicted late Friday of murdering Tara Correa-McMullen from Judging Amy and another person in 2005.
Watts was arrested months after the October 2005 slaying after an intense police investigation. It’s believed that Correa-McMullen was an innocent by-stander in a gang related shooting.
Correa-McMullen co-started in Martin Lawrence’s film Rebound and had a recurring role on Judging Amy as Graciela, and was considered an up and comer with a strong future in acting.
Watts faces life in prison without parole at sentencing next month.
