Internet rumors that Too Short had died started flying around yesterday (even his Wikipedia page was updated to include his tragic demise), yet the rapper seems to be pretty alive, going by his Twitter feed:
“Stop calling my phone. I’m not dead. Been in the lab working on my 19th album.”
Just to make absolutely sure Mr. Short was tweeting the truth, TMZ spoke to the musician on the phone. Yes, confirms TMZ, he is alive. We can all rest easy.
The 45-year-old West Coast rapper has joined the likes of Kanye West , Eddie Murphy , Robert Pattinson , Matt Damon , and Hugh Hefner (and many, many others) in being rumored dead while actually alive. Ah, the age of misinformation.
We can now put the rumors to rest. Viva la Too Short!
