Doctors in Zambia are planning an operation to remove feet from a baby’s arse.
Faith Mwampe has the feet of an unformed parasitic twin protruding from her rear, limiting her ability to walk.
Doctors are confident: “Once we operate on the child we expect her to make a complete recovery. This surgery is to improve the quality of Faith’s life as she ages and of course, even though it carries risks, we expect full success.”
The five-hour operation at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka is scheduled for next Thursday.
