Jackie Chan is set to play Miyagi in the remake of 80’s classic The Karate Kid.
The movie is being used as a vehicle for Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith, who was last seen in The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Shooting on The Karate Kid commences in Beijing in the northern summer. According to new reports, the new film borrows elements of the original plot, with some updates.
