Brandon Marshall Plans to Get Ejected from Upcoming Dolphins-Jets Game

Coming off a bye week, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall is re-energized and pumped up to face the New York Jets when the two teams match up on Monday Night Football (Oct. 17).

In fact, Marshall predicted he’ll be so fired up that he will “get kicked out of the game in the second quarter” and might do something to get fined $50,000.

Earlier this year, Marshall disclosed he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder , which stems from such things as a negative self-image and a fear of failure. On Thursday, in an interview with the Miami Herald, he said efforts to keep his emotions in check have hurt his play.

Despite already having 22 catches in only 4 contests, the two-time Pro bowler has only one touchdown catch and he’s tied for third in the NFL with five drops, including three in the end zone.

“The past four games, it’s been tough for me trying to control some things,” the 27-year-old told the Miami Herald. “I’m just going to let it out. I don’t care if they have two, three cameras on me, I don’t care if I have penalties. It doesn’t matter. I’m going to let it all out… I’ll probably get kicked out after the second quarter.”

When asked if he was kidding, Marshall insisted, “I’m not joking” and even offered specific examples of what he might do, which included punting a football 15 rows into the crowd or possibly even picking a fight with Jets linebacker Bart Scott.

“I love the game. I have a lot of passion for the game,” Brandon added. ““And I think every game, there’s one guy just charged with following me around to track my emotions, so I’m going to give them what they want. I’m going to play with a lot of emotion, a lot of passion. I’m going to be that Monster. Not the Beast. The Monster.”

In Brandon’s first match-up against the Jets as a Dolphin, he racked up 166 yards and a touchdown on 10 caught passes. Do you think an emotional Marshall will return a similar performance?
