WWE: Vince McMahon’s Policies Almost Get RAW Fan Arrested For WCW Nitro Sign

When it comes to the WWE, Vince McMahon usually pushes business first and by now many fans are getting sick and tired of hearing about how the WWE Network is only $9.99 a month. Due to the WWE subscription numbers being way below expectations the company has been laying off wrestlers and cutting corners in order to drop their operating costs so now they’re constantly pushing subscriptions. One fan who showed up to Monday Night RAW decided to create a sign that made this point abundantly clear only to be hustled out the door and threatened with arrest.

In a related report by The Inquisitr , it’s said that CM Punk’s views on wrestling are quite different from the WWE owner. Hulk Hogan also says Vince McMahon likes to be “sneaky” although in this one example it was in a good way. But the Hulkster also has a warning for anyone who gets in between Vince and the almighty business.

“Vince McMahon and I have always been good friends. On a personal level he would do anything for me, for you, for anyone he loves. He would give you the shirt off his back. On a business level ? He’s a different animal. Cut and dry. Black and white.”

One fan apparently found this fact out the hard way at a recent live showing of Monday Night RAW. The photo above shows the sign, which read: “I would rather be at home watching Nitro for $9.99.” The sign only pointed out how the WWE is constantly marketing the WWE Network, yet that was enough to suffer a backlash.

After being harassed by WWE security, the fan went on to Reddit to relate the full story.

“So tonight in Des Moines Iowa I was having fun being a fan of the product and holding up 2 different signs. One said I’d rather be at home watching Nitro for $9.99. the other said Raw is RAGElife. Around 9pm a skinny whit male with a black polo shirt with the WWE logo asked me for the sign. I asked which one. He took the Raw is RAGElife and left. A few minutes later he came back and asked for the other signs. Next to him was a huge black male in a suit with a WWE lapel pin. I tossed the sign reddit wanted me to make. And then was told to leave the arena. I refused and the as threatened with arrest. After a few minutes I went with them to the vending area where 5 men I suits surrounded me trying to arrest me for a sign and being someone the WWE didn’t like. I begged them to bring the police so I could he arrested and they wouldn’t bring them. After 5 maybe 10 minutes of the bulls**t I left left to my own will because I was tired of the shit. $*#& WWE,Vince McMahon, and everyone involved. They also took the person next to me which said Cena it’s time for a heel turn. Incredible.”

Threatening fans who criticize the business plan is probably not the best strategy in the world. The story has erupted all over social media, with many criticizing the WWE and how Vince McMahon is operating the company. There’s even a hilarious parody over on Cageside Seats talking about how a memo revealed Vince is secretly a vampire who thrives on creating such negativity. But unless “the count” wants his WWE Network counted out in the business world he needs to make the fans happy and willing to sign up, not upset and holding up signs.
