When parents try to connect with their children, sometimes the results are frequently disastrous. That’s why Blended star Adam Sandler pays close attention to the things his kids enjoy. When he discovered that they were really into In-N-Out burger and Bella Throne, he decided to use them as a way to build a better relationship.
According to Us Weekly , the former Saturday Night Live cast member discussed his secret weapons while promoting his latest cinematic endeavor. While Bella Thorne may not come in handy in your situation, folks can easily adapt his tactic to suit just about any scenario.
“I used Bella to get closer with my kids. It felt right. My kids love Bella!” the 47-year-old said of his Blended co-star during the press junket.
He continued, “It’s fun to show up, because at our school, you can go to lunch with your kids. You just show up with an In-N-Out burger and your kid loves you more. That night, when they’re mad at you, you’re like, ‘Remember the In-N-Out!’”
For those folks who have no idea who or what a Bella Thorne is, the actress made a name for herself on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up . In addition to her work on the big and small screens, Thorne is following former Disney darlings Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez into the world of pop music.
However, Bella told Billboard that she isn’t thinking too much about the aforementioned singers while carving out her own slice of the proverbial pie.
She told the publication:
“I don’t think about anything close to that. I don’t think, ‘Well, Miley went this way, and Selena went that way, so I have to go in the middle.’ That’s not it. I’m just being me. My song is called ‘Call It Whatever.’ You can call me whatever, if you like me or not like me. I really don’t care.”
