At last night’s Tony Awards, Catherine Zeta-Jones made her first appearance since going public with her on-going battle against Bipolar II disorder in April .
The 41-year-old Welsh actress, handed out two trophies including one to Mark Rylance for best actor in a leading role in a play (Jerusalem ) and another to Norbert Leo Butz for the musical Catch Me If You Can .
Zeta-Jones, mother of two and wife to actor Michael Douglas, has had a difficult year as she has also recently dealt with her husband’s own fight against stage-four throat cancer. However, things seem to be on the up and up.
According to Douglas, his wife has numerous projects in the works, including the upcoming film “Rock of Ages,” which also co-stars Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige and Alec Baldwin .
Rock of Ages is scheduled to hit theaters June of 2012.
