Duck Dynasty Guns Really Duck Commander Guns, Profits Phil Robertson’s Family, Not A&E

The so-called Duck Dynasty guns are actually Duck Commander guns released by Phil Robertson and family, which means A&E isn’t benefiting from the sales of these camouflaged Mossberg rifles at all.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , the Duck Dynasty stars teamed up with Mossberg to to produce two semi-automatic handguns, nine shotguns, and two semi-automatic rifles.

In his usual style, Phil manages to make a statement that’s both political and potentially controversial in support of the Duck Commander guns :

“We hold these truths to be self-evident. That all men are created equal and that they’ve been endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. Those are rights that no government can take from you. To live, be free and pursue happiness. Do you know what makes me happy, ladies and gentlemen? To blow a mallard drake’s head smooth off.”

Despite media reports all referring to the remarked Mossberg weapons as Duck Dynasty guns, the fact that they are in truth Duck Commander guns is fairly significant. Before the controversy of Phil’s comments where some claim GLAAD defamed him , and the resulting I Stand With Phil petition and boycott, the A&E network used to pull in an average of 14.6 million viewers per airing of each episode. This generated about $80 million in advertising sales in 2013 for A&E, but that’s nothing compared to the Duck Dynasty merchandise , which sold over $400 million.

So actually having real Duck Dynasty guns might have been very lucrative for A&E. But fans of the show are probably happy they’re Duck Commander guns in truth. For example, the A&E boycott was asking fans to buy only Duck Commander products since they directly benefit the family and not A&E, which owns the marketing name of Duck Dynasty .

Are you glad these relabeled Mossberg weapons are Duck Commander guns or would you rather have them labeled as Duck Dynasty guns?
