Austin Mahone has already scored a hit with his debut album The Secret . Here’s the kicker: The album isn’t scheduled to arrive on retail shelves until next month.
Proving that fans are impossibly anxious to get their hands on his first full-length album, Mahone’s record managed to crack the iTunes albums chart weeks ahead of its May 27 release. As of this writing, Austin’s musical endeavor is sitting extremely pretty at number nine .
According to My SA , Austin Mahone’s The Secret debuted at number one on the aforementioned chart almost as soon as it became available for pre-order. Although it’s slipped a bit since then, it’s safe to say that the guy has a certified hit on his hands.
The website also mentions that Mahone fanatics who purchased the album ahead of schedule on iTunes have instant access to both “Mmm Yeah” and the new single “Till I Find You.” In other words, it pays to order the record before it’s officially available to the masses.
MTV News explains that Austin also gave his fans an early look at the songs they’ll receive when The Secret finally drops. Unfortunately, it would appear that “What About Love” didn’t make the cut. Before you start shaking your fist in frustration, take a look at the other tunes Mahone has cooked up for the record.

While that tracklist is admittedly a little skimpy — most albums have on average between 10 and 12 songs — this would suggest Austin Mahone has trimmed the proverbial fat from the album. Instead of stuffing it will filler, the singer has simply focused on the tunes he feels are suitable for mass consumption. Of course, only time will tell if this is truly the case.

Austin previously discussed how many songs he had lined up for the record during his recent chat with Parade . Mahone said, “There are going to be about eight or nine songs on there and it’s going to come out really soon. I’m going to start the preorder soon as well. I’m really excited about that. I’m actually shooting the cover today. I feel good about my new song ‘Mmm Yeah,’ too. I hope it continues to grow on the charts and I’m seeing people like it, so that’s all that really matters.”
While you’re waiting for the first proper Austin Mahone record to arrive, you can keep yourself busy with the single “Till I Find You.” The Secret will hit retail on May 27.
