Paula Patton is not having a good day, the famous actress has confirmed her separation with Robin Thicke today. Patton and Thicke met each other when they were 14-years-old, and from then they became high school sweethearts. The couple got married on June 11th 2005. The famous couple have a three-year-old son named Julian Fuego. Paula Patton tells People magazine:
“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”
Robin Thicke started raising red flags this year because of the VMA performance with Miley Cyrus, when she abruptly started twerking on Thicke while he was singing.
Though their relationship still seemed strong then. Though they both have different professions, they were both involved in each others career.
“ Robin got me ready for every single acting audition I’ve ever done. We have read lines together when Im working on movies. He’s my coach. I listen to every song he writes and help however I can, and I’ve written songs with him .”
Thicke was madly in love with Paula Patton as well, he even stated:
“ I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula. She’s been my rock my muse, my inspiration, and I love her.”
It’s hard to imagine after quotes like these how the couple could split up, especially if they have been together since high school. For Celebrities that is pretty rare, but still incredible. The couple’s actual marriage only lasted for eight years. Paula Patton and Robin Thicke were definitely one of the best celebrity couples out there .
Their year started out pretty great though, With Thicke’s popular single “Blurred Lines” playing 24-7 all over radios. “Blurred Lines” had been on the top of the US Billboard Top 100 for ten weeks straight. I was not just in America that the single topped the charts, but in at least 14 other countries as well.
Paula Patton was the leading lady in the mega action hit 2 Guns (2013) this past summer. Her co-stars were Mark Wahlberg, and Denzel Washington. The summer hit was number one at the box office its opening weekend. Patton’s most recent movie came out in September was called Baggage Claim . Paula Stars as an air hostess who decides to go on a journey to find the right man.
Hopefully this separation won’t affect Paula Patton’s career, she always plays beautiful leading roles.
