Swift had earned an incredible amount of money, and she raked in a total of $39,699,575.60 dollars. What helped her so much was her famous Red Tour which promoted her Red album. The sales for the album were eight among all of BillBoard’s Money Makers. Swift’s album had sold close to 10 million copies and downloads in 2013.
Another major impact in Swifts revenue is from her packed arena’s during her tours. According to Billboard, the revenue from six months of touring the United States from her Red Tour racks in about $30 million. Plus the tour gets sponsorships from Keds, Elizabeth Arden, Diet Coke.
Swift’s closest competition on Billboard’s Annual Money Maker’s rich list is another country star: Kenny Chesney. Chesney made $32,956,240.70 from his single “Life on a Rock” which is the the seventh on the list, and his No Shoes Nation stadium tour helped him out.
Third on the list is Justin Timberlake himself. Timberlake had a big year because of the release of his 20/20 Experience albums , and two tours that he did, the first was his Legends of the Summer tour with Jay-Z which generated 60 million, and the last one was a solo tour which generated 43 million. The albums sales and tours brought Justin Timberlake a total of $31,463,297.03 dollars in America.
Fourth on the list is Bon Jovi because of is We Can tour which was the highest grossing tour in 2013, and because of the tour Bon Jovi rakes in $29,436,801.04 dollars.
Fifth on the list is The Rolling Stones. The band is still going strong as they bring in a total of $26,225,171.71 dollars for their 50th Anniversary.
