Leonardo DiCaprio and Brazilian model Kat Torres are officially dating. Although reports suggested the pair were getting cozy, neither party had weighed in on the matter.
During her recent chat with the folks at Brazil’s Extra newspaper, Torres revealed that she’s presently in a relationship with the Inception star.
According to the model, she met Leonardo DiCaprio during their trip to the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. The future couple was reportedly staying at the same house during their visit. It apparently wasn’t very long before romance started to blossom.
Despite their best efforts to stay out of the spotlight, photographers managed to snap pictures of the couple as they moved through the crowds.
“I really don’t know how the photographers got the picture because we were well guarded and no-one could come close in any circumstances,” she reportedly told the publication.
Torres added, “Leo is amazing, but I worry about what he will think about me talking to you. We have a pact that nothing can ever be said about our relationship. In Europe it is different. People see us together in many places so they do not need to ask us about anything.”
The model also addressed Leonardo DiCaprio’s very strong aversion to having his picture taken by opportunistic shutterbugs.
“[He] doesn’t like being photographed and barely goes out walking once people have realized it’s him,” Kat Torres explained during her recent interview.
Although the model confirmed her relationship with the Hollywood star, DiCaprio hasn’t weighed in on the romance just yet. Considering he’s always been very tight-lipped about such matters, it could be a while before we hear anything official from the man himself.

According to the folks at Gossip Cop , Torres made up the entire story. A source close to the actor said he never “dated” or “hung out” with the model. Although they bumped into one another in Cannes last spring, he reportedly hasn’t seen her since.
