Actress Cameron Diaz reportedly stayed out way past her bed time for the recent Gambit premiere after party, according to the Daily Mail .
The Knight & Day star recently attended the UK red carpet premiere of director Michael Hoffman’s remake Gambit . The film also stars Colin Firth, Alan Rickman, Stanley Tucci, and Cloris Leachman.
After attending the premiere and the after party, the actress decided it wasn’t quite time to head back to the hotel for some much-needed sleep. Instead, Diaz ventured out to another high-profile social gathering in London. Her appearance at the Corinthia Hotel was soon followed by a trip to the club Bodos Schloss for Elizabeth Saltzman’s Vanity Fair party.
According to Ace Showbiz , Cameron Diaz was joined by Gambit co-stars Alan Rickman and Colin Forth for the Wednesday night premiere in London. The event was also attended by such notable British celebrities as Kelsey Beth, Lorraine Pascale, and Julian Rhind.
Written by Joel and Ethan Coen, director Michael Hoffman’s Gambit is a remake of the 1966 movie of the same name. The original film starred Michael Caine, Shirley MacLaine, and Roger C. Carmel. Rotten Tomatoes describes the movie as follows:
“A British thief (Firth) discovers that no plan is infallible when he recruits a beautiful woman (Diaz) to help him steal a priceless statue from an impossibly wealthy widower (Rickman). Despite the fact that his pretty accomplice bears an uncanny resemblance to his affluent target’s late wife, things quickly spin out of control once the job gets under way.”
Although Gambit was set for release in the US on October 12, the film was later bumped to a undetermined date in 2013. The picture’s UK release date is presently scheduled for November 21.
