33-Year-Old Spends $97K To Look Like Justin Bieber, Fails Miserably

A 33-year-old man has spent nearly $100,000 in an attempt to look like famed singer Justin Bieber. The plan has failed miserably.

L.A.-based songwriter Toby Sheldon is a huge Bieber fan and rather than getting a tattoo of the singer or just chilling out to his music, the man went under the knife — many times.

According to Sheldon he has spent the last five years and $97,000 to look like Justin Bieber.

According to Toby he feared growing old and therefore had multiple plastic surgeries. Toby Sheldon underwent many procedures including Aquamid injections, and hair transplants.

His goal was simple, to “look like Justin.” He took the role so seriously that he underwent a controversial procedure known as “smile surgery.”

Speaking to British tabloid Closer, the aspiring musician and songwriter says “It’s Justin’s smile that gives him his youthful look.”

To create that “youthful” Justin Bieber smile the man had the sides of his mouth extended. Smile surgery is not only controversial, it is also expensive at $15,000.

So what does Toby Sheldon think of the results from his smile surgery?

“My smile surgery took more than a month to recover from,” Sheldon recalled. “And, after my eyelid surgery, I couldn’t open my eyes for a week.”

His delusional friends call him “Toby Bieber.”

Here’s a picture of Toby Sheldon pre-surgery and after spending $97,000. In this writers opinion he looked better before going under the knife many times.

In a music industry where uniqueness in looks is important, I’m not really sure why Toby Sheldon would want to look like Justin Bieber. A more unique look would probably serve him better. But more importantly, nobody wants to see a 33-year-old guy who is turning himself into a young kid in the looks department.

I’m not sure what is more creepy, looking like Justin Bieber on purpose or attempting to turn your 33-year-old face into that of a younger kid. Sure the music industry loves a youthful look, but typically on a youthful singer. I can’t see tweens swooning over Toby Sheldon, and if they do that would be more than a little bit creepy.

Do you think Toby Sheldon will receive new fans because of his look or should he have continued trying to push himself into the spotlight as a 33-year-old singer/songwriter?
