Justin Bieber Premieres New Single ‘All That Matters’

Justin Bieber Releases New Single 'All That Matters' For "Music Mondays"

Justin Bieber has dropped “All That Matters,” the second single in his “Music Mondays” series.

Despite a leak hours before, the singer officially released the mellow, R&B down-tempo song to iTunes at midnight.

The Canadian star kicked off his release drive last Monday with first single “Heartbreaker,” and will unwrap a new song from his Journals collection every Monday for 10 weeks in total.

In addition to intermittent Twitter countdowns over the weekend, on Sunday Bieber marked an on the hour count that got progressively shorter before posting a pre-release Instavid of himself and music producer Jason Boyd.

The caption read, “Me and poo bear wrote ‘all that matters’ for my#beliebers, #musicmondays.”

Previously describing Journals as his way of “sharing” with fans, “All That Matters” features a Jimi Hendrix-influenced guitar set against direct, emotional lyrics about a romantic relationship.

In the chorus, Justin is heard telling his girl, “You’re all that matters to me / Yeah yeah, ain’t worry about nobody else / If it ain’t you, I ain’t myself / You make me complete / You’re all that matters to me.”

The heartthrob continues: “Yeah, yeah, what’s a king bed without a queen / There ain’t no “I” in team / You make me complete / You’re all that matters to me.”

Like “Heartbreaker,” the new single will probably encourage yet more speculation about the singer’s relationship with his ex-beau Selena Gomez.

As before, Bieber explained the song’s background in a message posted to his Twitter page.

“The lyrics of the song are pretty self-explanatory — when you fall in love with someone, that someone can make you feel whole…,” the 19-year-old wrote.

Justin added, “The song conveys that being in love is one of the greatest feelings on earth. Love is all that matters. But the void you feel when that love goes away is gut-wrenching. I worked so hard on this song in the studio – trying to put that feeling into music was extremely important to me. I’m happy to share it with you. – JB.”

Undoubtedly hoping to emulate iTunes success of “Heartbreaker,” Bieber asked fans to push “All That Matters” single to the top of the charts while retweeting appreciative messages from friends and fans.

The song is available at iTunes and as a stream on the singer’s official Vevo account. To see the full lyrics of “All That Matters” click here.
