The nominations for the 41st American Music Awards have been announced and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are leading the way.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have picked up six nominations including Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Single Of The Year.
Mackelmore will have to beat out Florida Georgia Line, Ariana Grande, Imagine Dragons and Phillip Phillips to win the New Artist of the Year Award. They’ll have to beat out AMA veterans like Taylor Swift , Justin Timberlake and Rihanna to win the Artist of the Year Award.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis also earned a few nominations in the hip hop category for Favorite Album and Favorite Artist.
Timberlake and Swift had the second most nominations this year with five while Rihanna and Robin Thicke picked up four apiece.
Music fans can vote for their favorite artists on the American Music Awards website.
This year’s award show will be broadcast on November 24th at 8 p.m.
The full list of performers hasn’t been set yet but Billboard reports that Miley Cyrus is already scheduled to perform at the AMAs this year. The singer, who isn’t up for any awards this year, caused a big stir earlier this year with her raunchy performance at the VMAs .
