‘Godzilla’ Trailer Hits The Internet…Sort Of

Godzilla fans jumped for joy on Friday when a new trailer for the anticipated film hit the Internet…sort of.

It turns out, the trailer apparently leaked and Warner Bros. is quickly pulling all copies down. Bummer.

So much for the excitement about the new trailer, which was posted to YouTube but it is no longer there, some sites might still have the clip, it’s the luck of the draw.

If you find it, then good for you. Chances are that by now, WB has blocked most of the available clips.

Some sites, such as this guy is offering to email fans a copy of the trailer taken with a video camera, he refuses to leak the copy he still has available.

And the fan makes an appeal to the studio, to just release the damn video already. The anticipation is great and it will make fans very happy.

There is talk that maybe the trailer will play ahead of Gravity, which opens on Friday, and that the studio is waiting a few more hours to release. We will see about that.

But we have to agree, it seems like they have footage they can share with the public that has been waiting for years for this movie. Just do it!

Two years ago, at the San Diego Comic Con, Warner Bros. released a trailer for those attending their panel. The clip was screened once again this year at the Comics convention at the Hall H panel, but hasn’t been officially released, although it hit the web at some point.

Maybe now that it leaked, again, the studio will finally decide to let it go and move on with it. The excitement was such that #Godzilla was trending on Twitter.

The Godzilla reboot is set in modern times, and is the second film in the franchise fully filmed by an American studio, which is based on the Japanese character of the same name. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards.
