Hailee Steinfeld Joined By Taylor Swift At ‘Romeo and Juliet’ Premiere

Hailee Steinfeld wasn’t the only star at the Romeo And Juliet premiere last night. The young actress, who will play one half of the star-crossed lovers in her movie, was joined on the red carpet by celebrity friends like Jaden Smith and Taylor Swift.

Steinfeld told E! Online that she became friends with Taylor Swift thanks to an introduction by Emma Stone.

The actress said: We met, oh my gosh, like three years ago through our mutual friend Emma Stone, We do just really random stuff when we are together. We just love to kick back, listen to music, watch TV, bake, watch movies and all of that kind of stuff.”

Of course, Hailee Steinfeld is a much more than a 16-year-old girl with a couple of famous friends.

The young actress has already earned an Oscar nomination for her role in True Grit and she is about to tackle one of the greatest love stories of all-time.

Steinfeld said that she tried not to place any added stress on playing the iconic Juliet.

The actress said: “You kind of have to take it as any other role because I feel like, if I made it a thing that I was a part of re-making this classic or playing this iconic role, I would sort of lose sight of the work… So I was able to read it on a clean slate and go into it and just sort if immerse myself in the entire world.”

The new movie also stars Douglas Booth, Ed Westwick, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Tomas Arana, Paul Giamatti and Nathalie Rapti Gomez.
