Cara Delevingne Confirms That She Wants To Act

British fashion model Cara Delevingne confirmed that she plans to pursue an acting career.

The 21-year-old, who auditioned for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, said that she didn’t make a conscious decision to spend less time on the catwalk.

“I just suddenly got one movie and then another one and then another one,” Delevingne told Grazia. “That’s what I want to do, that’s the transition I want to make.”

She also said that the decision to cut back on modeling has been a good experience so far.

“It’s been very relaxing,” she said. “I mean, compared to last time. It’s been really good actually.”

Delevingne also called London Fashion Week “horrible” and that she found it difficult to deal with “all the people and all the crap.”

The model has walked in seven shows since the start of New York Fashion Week on September 5. She also said she has a couple of methods for dealing with the stress.

“Sleep more,” she said. “Have massages. I’ve started doing yoga and meditation, but I’m not very good at that kind of thing and turning my brain off. Music helps as well… My way of relaxing was always doing the opposite and playing the drums, but I need to be able to actually chill.”

Delevingne said she also relies on friends Georgia May Jagger and Jourdan Dunn for support.

“Georgia helps me de-stress so much because I’ve known her for so long,” she said. “It’s the same with Jourdan. It’s just lovely to have those girls around you because they’re like family.”

Cara Delevingne had a small part in the 2012 film adaptation of Anna Karenina. The London native, who previously dated One Direction singer Harry Styles was recently linked to her Kids in Love co-star Aki Omoshaybi.
