Jon Gosselin Waiting Tables, Lives In Cabin

Jon Gosselin is now waiting tables, worlds away from the reality stardom that imploded along with his marriage.

While the relationship Jon Gosselin had with ex-wife Kate was always a bit rocky — and let’s face it, hard to even watch when we had to — the Gosselins and their brood of eight seemed at the time to be a permanent facet of reality celebrity culture.

It’s hard to imagine Jon as a waiter — as he still seems to be the TLC star he was before, partying it up in Vegas after his explosive split from Kate, dating tabloid journalists and hitting up nightclubs in big cities on both coasts.

But as you may recall, Gosselin was booted from the dying franchise, which became Kate Plus 8 before the clan was excised from TV altogether. But when it comes to his downsized life, Jon doesn’t miss his days riding high with Kate by his side.

Gosselin admitted to being a bit touchy about the fall from fame, but seems overall comfortable with his fate and the lack of paparazzi glare. He told ET that he had some insecurities, but they faded:

“At first I was nervous because I was like, ‘How are people going to react?’ But then I’m thinking, ‘Well, it’s fun and I get to talk to people.’ And they technically already know me … they’re like ‘Are you the guy?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m the guy.’ ”

Surely the Vegas days are something Gosselin longs for? Maybe not — he adds:

“I don’t regret anything. You learn from your mistakes. That’s what builds you to who you are today… I’ve hit rock bottom like 20 times and I just bounce back and go somewhere else. I [party] now on a different level.”
