Karlie Kloss: Model Who Stands 6-Foot-5 In Heels Takes Over Fashion World

Karlie Kloss could put some NBA players to shame.

At 6-foot-1, the model towers over others in the fashion world already, but add in a tendency toward 4-inch heels and Kloss is something of a giant, both literally and figuratively.

The 21-year-old has been taking on modeling gigs since she was 14 years old, but in recent years has exploded on the fashion scene. She’s been tapped for a number of top designers and high-profile campaigns, and more recently taken home some big fashion honors. Models.com recently named her No. 9 on the list of Top 50 Models — Women list, and Vogue Paris named her one of the top 30 models of the 2000s.

The past year has been particularly good to Karlie Kloss. She became the face of Donna Karan, Lacoste, and Lanvin, and also worked with Victoria’s Secret for their 2013 summer swimsuit video.

Her recent boom in success has made Karlie a popular topic for celebrity news outlets as well. When she showed up to this week’s #DKNY25 Birthday Bash wearing a gold band on her left ring finger, there was widespread speculation that Karlie had gotten engaged.

But Karlie Kloss cleared up the matter, saying she just liked wearing jewelry.

“Every girl needs a little personal jewelry and every girl also needs to buy her own diamonds,” she told E! News, adding, “You can’t go wrong with Cartier!”

But Karlie said she is still going strong with boyfriend Josh Kushner, the older brother of Ivanka Trump’s husband Jared Kushner. The couple has been dating for close to a year after being spotted together at last fall’s Victoria’s Secret show.

Whether she’s headed down the aisle or not, Karlie Kloss is one of the most in-demand models and poised to become a crossover hit as well. This year she made the jump to television, hosting the 2013 MTV Movie Awards pre-show.
