Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” performance is actually weirder than her VMAs performance.
The country/pop star shocked audiences with her performance at the VMAs when she dry-humped a foam finger on stage and twerked against Robin Thicke after he came out to perform his latest hit “Blurred Lines.” Anyone who has seen her antics during that performance has certainly left behind the wholesome imagery of her days with Hannah Montana. It looks like her tongue-wagging days aren’t over yet, as she does it once again on stage with her performance of “We Can’t Stop.”
You may be asking why this particular performance is even more weird than Miley Cyrus’ infamous round of twerking, and all you have to do is play the video above to get your answer.
In Miley Cyrus’ latest “We Can’t Stop” performance, she tones down the physical antics a bit, but it’s the musicians in the background who are sure to catch your eye. Everybody else on stage is a little person. The drummer, the guitarist, and even a dancer who comes onstage later in the video are all little people, or, as YouTube‘s RichW4 calls them, fun-sized.
On stage at a performance in Germany, the video starts zooming out from a black vocalist doing the background intro to the song, and as it zooms out, you begin to notice that he’s a bit vertically challenged, as is everybody else on stage. Eventually the camera pans backward to include Miley Cyrus, now dressed a little more punk, ditching that odd hair and body suit she had going at the VMAs.
After the initial few lines, she starts interacting with the little people, starting with the drummer. She starts singing practically right at him, and then doing the classic crotch dance. A bit later into it, a small woman starts dancing in from off-stage, and does the pelvic thrusts as Miley Cyrus proceeds to spank her a few times, and then headbang as they both dance. She ends the performance doing the tongue wag again next to the one with the guitar. At least it seems the stage performers were having a good time.
