Gavin Rossdale, Gwen Stefani Having ‘Late In Life’ Baby

Rocker Gavin Rossdale and wife Gwen Stefani (who we also hear dabbles in the music biz) are reportedly expecting a third baby, at the respective ages of 47 and 43.

Gavin Rossdale and Stefani married back in 2002, and are parents to sons Kingston, seven, and Zuma, five. During the course of their marriage, it was revealed that Rossdale was also dad to a much older child back in England.

Rossdale’s daughter Daisy Lowe is now 24, but her paternity was not confirmed until a DNA test in 2004 proving that the rocker was indeed her father. His relationship with Lowe has reportedly been slowly mended, but of early fatherhood, Rossdale once said:

“With Daisy, I just have to be respectful. I suppose it’s more like a friendship.”

Mom Pearl Lowe said that when Daisy learned Gavin Rossdale might be her real father, relations between all became strained. She told the media that Rossdale strongly opposed the DNA test, explaining:

“Gavin told me if Daisy, then 14, had a DNA test, he’d never speak to me again and he’s kept his word… I lost him as a friend, but Daisy has a relationship with him, which is great.”

Years later, Daisy said her relationship with Gavin Rossdale after the DNA test had become smoother, and she added:

“I now have a really good relationship with my father. It’s been blossoming for the past year but it really happened over Christmas… We got to spend time together. He’s got two beautiful kids who I really adore and his wife is gorgeous.”

The new baby news has not been confirmed officially, but Us reported a source as saying that Rossdale and Stefani just learned they are expecting again, dishing:

“It’s very new and they just found out. They’re excited!”

Stefani hinted at difficulty adding to their family in an October 2012 interview, suggesting that the couple had wanted a third child, but faced challenges — not uncommon after the age of 40.

Gwen said simply:

“I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it didn’t really work out. So… I feel good with what we’ve got. Everything works out how it should. You can’t plan anything, right? You can try.”
