Anna Camp Joins ‘Ground Floor,’ Replaces Ellie Kemper In ‘HIMYM’

Anna Camp will be reuniting with her Pitch Perfect co-stars, Skylar Astin and Alexis Knapp, on TBS’ new sitcom, Ground Floor.

The series focuses on hot-shot banker Brody (Astin) who realizes he’s not as happy as he thought when he meets his company’s support staff. Camp will guest star as Brody’s ex-girlfriend, an investment banker and the only woman working on the top floor.

Camp and Astin are dating in real life.

Ground Floor is written by Bill Lawrence (Scrubs) and Greg Malins (Friends). The series also co-stars Cougar Town‘s Briga Heelan and Scrubs‘ John C. McGinley. The show is set to premiere November 14.

Anna Camp will also replace The Office‘s Ellie Kemper as Cassie on How I Met Your Mother. Cassie is one of the most attractive guests at Barney and Robin’s wedding, and she also happens to be single. Unfortunately for Ted, she is also very unfortunate.

Kemper’s casting was announced in July, but she had to bow out due to a scheduling conflict.

In Pitch Perfect, Camp played Aubrey Posen, the uptight co-leader of the Bellas. When she vomited at Nationals the previous year, she ruined the Bellas’ chances of winning the competition. She insists that the group use the same set list they have been using for years.

Alexis Knapp played Stacie Conrad, a hypersexual member of the Bellas. Skylar Astin played Jesse Swanson, a Barden freshman who joins the Barden Treblemakers.

Camp confirmed that she would be reprising her role as Aubrey in the film’s upcoming sequel, which will be released in 2015. Rebel Wilson, who played Fat Amy, said the sequel may be set in London.

Anna Camp also appeared in 2011’s The Help as Jolene French. She also recurred as Caitlin d’Arcy in eight episodes of The Good Wife. She was also a series regular for the first 12 episodes of The Mindy Project.
