Rita Ora used the MTV Video Music Awards to show boyfriend Calvin Harris what he’s missing.
The 22-year-old singer has been away from DJ Calvin during the summer while he’s completing a summer session in Ibiza and a residency in Las Vegas. Rita showed up to the awards in a revealing outfit, hinting on her Twitter account that the fashionable look was for a special reunion with Harris.
“Chill…waiting for my baby,” she wrote.
Calvin had a break before he was schedule to play his next gig, so it appears he took the opportunity to jet back east and spend some time with his girlfriend Rita Ora.
Ora seemed to be going for a fashion statement in the outfit she wore to the actual award ceremony. She wore an Alexandre Vauthier gown with a feathered skirt and a slit that showed off her leg and a plunging neckline that left little to the imagination.
The outfit earned mixed reviews, but it was the gown she changed into for the after-party that won high marks.
“The songstress swapped her voluminous gown for a sexy and sleek number. Her red hot Versace dress was from the Fall 2013 collection and featured leather detailing,” noted Hollywood Life fashion correspondent Katrina Mitzeliotis. “The sleeveless frock hugged her figure like a glove and the star paired the look with a bright red lip and red pumps — we loved the matching look!”
But others claimed that Ora was trying a little too hard to look like another famous pop singer . E! News claimed that the “How We Do” singer had a look that was eerily close to Beyonce, from the blonde bob to the Alexandre Vauthier frock.
Fashion grades aside, the reunion for Rita Ora and Calvin Harris didn’t last too long — he’s scheduled to play later this week in Miami.
