Laraki Epitome Concept: $2 Million, 1750 HP Supercar Makes Debut At Pebble Beach

Most people heading down to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this weekend weren’t expecting to be blown away by the new Laraki Epitome concept car. In fact, some auto experts didn’t even know that the car existed until it was unveiled this morning.

Auto Blog writes: “When we showed up at Pebble Beach this morning we had a pretty good idea of classics and concepts that we wanted to cover. To be completely honest, the Laraki Motors Epitome Concept car wasn’t on our cheat sheet. We hadn’t heard of the wildly scooped and scalloped show car.”

The supercar may have not been a “must see” at the beginning of the Pebble Beach show but it is quickly becoming a fan favorite. The Laraki Epitome Concept has been trending on the internet this morning and for good reason.

The $2 million concept comes from Laraki, a startup car company in Irvine, California that was founded by yacht and car designer Abdesslam Laraki. It features a 7-liter twin turbocharged V-8 engine that can produce an amazing 1,750 horsepower. According to USA Today, that puts the Laraki Epitome in the same class as the Bugatti Veyron.

But there’s something unique about the Laraki’s HP output. AutoBlog reports that the car will put out about 1200 HP on regular fuel. The supercar has a second gas tank that will hold 110 octane. That fuel will give the Laraki a major boost at the push of a button.

Laraki was at the Pebble Beach show this morning to judge interest in his new car.

The company’s founder said that “the reaction is more than encouraging no one was expecting it.”

Laraki plans to make 9 Epitomes to start but that could change in the future. What do you think of the Laraki Epitome?
