Eva Longoria Wins Hispanic Heritage Award: Is It A Prize For Kissing Teri Hatcher? [Video]


Actress Eva Longoria has won an Hispanic Heritage Foundation award. The Foundation announced the winners of its 26th Hispanic Heritage 2013 awards on Friday.

Other winners included chef Jose Andres and actor and director Diego Luna.

The awards, to be presented Sept. 5 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, will be broadcast Sept. 15 on MundoFOX.

According to Yahoo news, other winners include: musical group Los Tigres Del Norte; superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools Alberto Carvalho; Voto Latino President Maria Teresa Kumar; actress and singer Lucero; and race car driver Juan Pablo Montoya.

The Hispanic Heritage Awards were established in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Eva Longoria has played many roles; perhaps she is best known for her stint in Desperate Housewives, and especially the lesbian kissing scene with Teri Hatcher.
