Cookie Monster Music Video: Me Want It (But Me Wait)

Cookie Monster loves cookies and singing off key, and that combination has led to the creation of Me Want It (But Me Wait), a new music video that spoofs Icona Pop’s hit song I Love It.

The video was launched in celebration of Sesame Street’s upcoming 44th season, which debuts on September 16, 2013. The new season of Sesame Street is debuting with a new self-regulation and executive function curriculum.

With a “self-regulation” function ahead, it makes sense that Cookie Monster, the poster-child for a lack of self-regulation skills, would be featured.

In the video, Cookie Monster manages to singe “Me want it, but me wait” repeatedly as he attempts to avoid gobbling down all of the cookies displayed in front of him.

You can watch the new season of Sesame Street on PBSKids! when it debuts. In the meantime, check out the video shown above.

It’s good to be reporting some positive Cookie Monster news. We have recently told stories of a giant culpture theft and a shoving match and arrest in Times Square. Of course, those stories involved imposters! We all know that the big blue guy would never hurt a soul.

What do you think of the Me Want It (But Me Wait) Cookie Monster video?
