Kat Dahlia Birthday Celebration Ends With DUI Arrest

Kat Dahlia celebrated her 23rd birthday this weekend but the party ended on a sour note.

The singer was arrested for a DUI early on Tuesday morning in Miami Beach.

The arresting officer said that he spotted Dahlia driving without her headlights on. The officer then pulled the young singer over and smelled alcohol on her breath.

Dahlia was reportedly slurring her words and arguing with the officer. She refused to take a sobriety test and when the officer tried to put her in handcuffs she refused to put her hands behind her back.

In addition to the DUI charge, Dahlia was also charged with resisting arrest.

Kat Dahlia, real name Katriana Huguet, turned 23 on Tuesday. A few hours before her arrest she wrote on Twitter that it was the “best day of the year.”

Her Twitter feed also filled up with loving messages from people wishing her a happy birthday. Unfortunately, after Dahlia’s B-Day celebration she decided to drive home.

Dahlia has not responded to her DUI or to the charge of resisting arrest.
