Redneck Heaven: ‘Breastaurant’ Waitresses Must Wear Clothes, Not Body Paint

Waitresses working at Redneck Heaven, a “breastaurant” in Lewisville, Texas, have been told that they have to wear clothes. Body paint and pasties just aren’t going to cut it.

Redneck Heaven has become something of an unwitting battleground in a recent public decency battle as waitresses there would only wear pasties or body paint to cover up instead of… you know, shirts.

The discussion over the restaurant’s decency practices came to a head when a tourist stopped in because of the funny sign.

“And that’s when we realized there were servers in the parking lot that weren’t dressed!” Catherine Holliday recalled of her stop.

“They weren’t for all intensive purposes. They had a tiny bikini bottom that didn’t cover their bottom, their backs were bare and their fronts were painted but bare.”

Normally, Redneck Heaven waitresses do wear a bikini top, but there are special “ABC” (anything but clothes) events during which they wear body paint or pasties instead.

Technically they were observing decency laws, but Lewisville’s city council decided to take a second look after the complaints. The ordinance was changed after they decided that no, body paint and pasties do not constitute proper coverage.

But some critics have pointed out that Redneck Heaven’s scantily-clad waitresses weren’t just wearing body paint for sex appeal.

“I do consider it a form of art — I consider it a very beautiful form of art,” said professional body painter Kristal White. “If you’ve seen X-Men, you’ve seen Mystique. That was a movie and that was body painting, and it was beautiful.”

What do you think? Should Redneck Heaven’s waitresses be allowed to wear body paint and pasties instead of clothing? Sound off!
