Ronaldo Looking To Buy Playboy Brazil

Ronaldo may soon be entering the world of soft porn. The world famous soccer player is reportedly interested in buying the national rights to Playboy in Brazil.

UPI reports that Ronaldo, real name Ronaldo Nazario de Lima, may purchase the rights to Playboy through his 9ine marketing firm. The soccer star hasn’t put in an official bid yet.

Playboy is the 10th best-selling publication in Brazil. Still, sales of the adult magazine have been falling since the 1990s. The Sun reports that more than a million copies of Playboy were sold every month in Brazil during the 1990s. That number has dropped to about 250,000.

Still, Ronaldo believes that the magazine the potential to return to its former glory and believes that purchasing the rights in Brazil is a lucrative business opportunity.

Ronaldo also believes that he has the “midas touch” when it comes to business and believes that he could be the guy to help Playboy increase its sales.

And it’s hard to argue with the former soccer star. Since his retirement in 2011, he’s gone on to have a very successful business career. In addition to endorsement deals, he also currently owns a chain of gyms, a nightclub, and a health clinic.

His marketing firm 9INE is set to make more than $22 million in 2014.
