Alicia Silverstone is slated to tackle the lead role in a new drama for Lifetime.

The Clueless star has reportedly signed on for HR . The series is being directed by Sex and the City showrunner Darren Star. His other credits include Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place .

According to the folks at UPI , Alicia Silverstone will portray “an uptight human resources boss determined to overhaul her company” in the new series.

Although the 36-year-old actress is known for her work on the big screen, this is actually the fourth time she has attempted to make a splash on television. She was previously attached to the pilots Queen B and Pink Collar . Unfortunately for Silverstone, they never went to series.

The Toronto Sun reports that the actress’ 2003 TV program Miss Match was canned after only 11 episodes. Needless to say, Alicia Silverstone and her fans are hoping she has better luck with Darren Star’s HR . It’s currently unclear when the show is expected to premiere on the cable network.

The show finds Silverstone tackling the role of a human resources director who undergoes a life-changing experience after suffering a head injury. Her new outlook allows the actress’ character to take the business in different directions. However, not everyone is a fan of her new work ethic.

A new series on Lifetime isn’t the only project Alicia Silverstone has in the works. The Inquisitr previously reported that the actress recently launched a breast milk sharing service to assist vegan mothers. Silverstone said she was inspired to create the program after receiving an email from a mother looking for help.

“A lot of women unfortunately have a similar struggle, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be able to give their babies the most amazing start in life with clean, mean, glorious breast milk,” the Batman & Robin star said in an official statement.
