As suddenly as it arrived, Kanye West yanked the “Black Skinhead” video from his official website.
Fans were no doubt delighted by the clip’s appearance Monday night. Hours after the video made its debut, it mysteriously vanished from the site.
While the music video may not be available on West’s official website, that doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy the clip elsewhere. In fact, you can find the vanishing video embedded below.
The sudden and unexpected disappearance of Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead” video has caused many to wonder if the clip wasn’t finished before it was posted online. As The Wrap points out, it could also have been a clever trick to get people talking. It seems to have worked.
The animated music video features the rapper grooving to his own tune. At one point during the clip, the CGI version of West transforms into some kind of demon. He even goes full frontal at one point. The song in question appears on his latest musical effort Yeezus.
Strangely, Kanye West has yet to weigh in on the video. Although he can usually be found discussing himself at-length on social media, he has remained strangely quiet regarding the “Black Skinhead” video. When he’s ready to talk, chances are we’ll all be willing to listen.
As someone who lived through the 90s music video craze, even this writer was a little perplexed by the clip. The animation style seems to recall The Sims except with much better music. If you’re curious to see what all the fuss is about, kindly direct your attention to the video embedded below. Keep in mind that it may not be safe for viewing at work, so proceed with caution.
