Miranda Kerr Gets Threatened With Murder

When you’re a celebrity, you sometimes have to deal with fans who are not so mentally stable. Miranda Kerr recently had to deal with one of these deranged fans. He threatened to murder her.

Massachusetts resident Steve C. Swanson actually had the audacity to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and tell them that he planned to go to California and kill the Victoria’s Secret model with two .45-caliber handguns.

Swanson told the police that Kerr was his “soul mate” and that he was going to turn the place upside down when he arrived to Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police didn’t wait long to alert authorities in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The 52-year-old man was arrested at his home Wednesday morning and charged with making a threat concerning a firearm.

Police found photos of Miranda Kerr on his bookshelf, microwave and refrigerator. Although Swanson didn’t repeat the death threats, he did tell the police that he was going to Los Angeles to save the model.

The judge set Swanson’s bail at $8,000 and ordered him to get psychiatric evaluation. In court, a doctor testified that Swanson suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and hasn’t taken his medication since March.

Miranda Kerr isn’t the only celebrity who has received death threats. In 2011, Selena Gomez received death threats from a 46-year-old man named Thomas Brodnicki. He had a history of mental illness and admitted he “had conversations with God and entertained thoughts of killing Ms. Gomez.”

Brodnicki admitted that he has traveled to Los Angeles to meet the actress and visited her workplace several times. Gomez had to file a restraining order against the man to keep him away from her.

Adele received death threats on Twitter after she gave birth last fall. One of the people who threatened her wrote, “I’ll go and see her in the UK and kill her”
