Joe Torre’s Daughter Catches Falling Baby In Brooklyn

The daughter of Yankee legend, Joe Torre, saved the life of a 1-year-old boy after she caught him when he fell off the awning of a Brooklyn building on Wednesday morning.

Christina Torre, 44, was strolling along Third Avenue, near 91st Street, when she spotted a child hanging from a storefront at 10 am.

When the child suddenly dropped to the floor, Torre leapt into action and caught the kid in her arms.

Kristen Bramsen, 48, who witnessed the ordeal, stated, “The woman caught the baby. The baby was shaken. Everyone was going up to the woman and hugging her. I hugged her.”

Discussing Torre’s reaction, Bramsen added, “She just smiled and said she was in shock.”

Police investigating the ordeal were able to decipher that the boy climbed through a piece of cardboard that was placed next to an air conditioner in the family’s second-floor home.

Both of the parents, Sam Miller, 23, and Tiffany Demetria, 24, were handcuffed at the scene of the crime and then taken into custody. It wasn’t clear where the parents were at the time of the incident.

It is believed that the duo have been charged with endangering the life of a child aswell as neglect, according to law enforcement officials.

The child was taken to hospital and still under observation, whilst he and his three siblings, who are aged 2, 3, and 5, have been taken in by Brooklyn’s Administration for Children’s Services.

Neighbors have stated that the family were rather unsavory, labeling them as “gypsies” and confiding that they were often witnessed doing Tarot card readings on the street.

Tom Abrahams stated, “[Miller is] not very nice, I’ll tell you that. I keep away from him. He’s been nasty to me at times.”

Joe Torre served as the New York Yankees manager between 1996 and 2007, and claimed four World Series titles with the team.
