Will Smith Taught Drake About Love
Drake has revealed that he only realised he didn’t understand the true meaning of love after having a talk with the actor, Will Smith.
The rapper was talking to GQ, where he stated, “I had lunch the other day with someone I extremely look up to. OK – I had lunch with Will Smith, and listening to him talk, it made me think I don’t know what love is. He said something profound. He said love is when you become one and you need that person. It’s not about wanting anymore, you need that person. Hearing that, I don’t know if I’ve ever felt that way.”
Drake went on to talk abut the emotions of his new album, entitled Nothing Was The Same, proclaiming that he has always held women in “very high regard” and that sometimes he struggles to let go of his relationship with them.
He also discussed his previous work, saying that his past albums have revolved around his pursuit of love and this is the only record where he is enjoying his current situation.
Drake stated,”I’m enjoying it right now. Maybe this is my time to grind it out, make a run for it and add some memories with my boys.”
However Drake also admitted that he isn’t having sex at the moment, stating, “You know the way fighters don’t f–k before the fight? Sometimes I feel like I’m so focused on training my body and getting my mind right to create this album that sex isn’t one of my main priorities,”
But he did admit he’s not avoiding it for the rest of his life, noting, “If someone is around that I know and trust, I’m down. But I’m not going to end up with some stranger at this party.”
