Motorola Charm With Portrait View, Android 2.1, Gets Official Debut

The Charm by Motorola has been rumored for quite some time now and it’s finally been revealed with a full portrait QWERTY keyboard that sits just below a 2.8-inch landscape touchscreen.

For one handed loving Smartphone users of the traditional sort, you don’t have to touch the screen, thanks to a backside mounted touchpad.

Adding to the excitement is not only the fact that this is the first Android phone with this type of form factor, but it’s also the first to feature Android 2.1 with Blur.

The Charm also features a 3.0 megapixel camera with Kodak technologies, WiFi capabilities and a second microphone that offers noise-canceling features.

No official pricing or a release date from T-Mobile, however Engadget expects the device sometime this Summer.

What do you think? For the text heavy user this could be a great option!
