Marilyn Manson And Alice Cooper Team-Up For ‘Masters Of Madness’ Tour
Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper, two of shock rocks’ finest and most celebrated artists, have united for the first-time ever in their new “Masters of Madness” tour. The two rock stars met in the past during a music festival in 2007 and have obviously created a friendship since connecting six years ago.
The tour began on June 1 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and it will end on June 29 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Not only will the sets include both performers on stage rocking out to their hits, but also theatrical performances that are rumored to include knives and elaborate costumes.
The next stop is Friday in Tucson, Arizona before moving on to the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas for another performance on Saturday night. Manson released his eighth studio album in May of 2012, named “Born Villain,” which he’s spotlighted during his teaming with Alice Cooper.
“The Godfather of Shock Rock” is what Cooper goes by now-a-days, and he released a live album in April of 2012 named “No More Mr. Nice Guy: Live” which was recorded during a performance at London’s Alexandra Place in 2011.
Marilyn Manson has recently been recognized for reaching out to Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, who reportedly attempted suicide after she couldn’t attend one of Manson’s concerts. The 15-year-old is expected to make a full recovery from the incident, and the rock icon in Manson showed a lighter side of his personality by sending a message to Paris.
“I hope you feel better. You will be on my guest list anytime you want,” he told Jackson.
The thoughtful gesture by Manson comes just as his tour with Cooper has started to heat up, and who knows, maybe the young Paris Jackson will make an appearance at one of the shows before it all comes to an end on June 29.
No matter how the newly acclaimed “shock rock brothers” take the stage either as a duo or during their own sets, you can be sure to see two of the best performers and entertainers in all of heavy metal.
Do you think Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson teaming up for the “Masters of Madness” tour is an iconic way for the rockstars to start the summer?
