Robert Pattinson And Katy Perry Spend Weekend Together

Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry seem to be growing more close since the Twilight star’s split with longtime girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

The two were spotted spending time together over the Memorial Day weekend, even attending a wedding rehearsal. The impromptu date was reportedly just a pair of strangers who were tying the knot at San Ysidro Ranch, close to where Katy grew up.

“Katy and Rob were just sitting next to each other watching the wedding rehearsal in the main courtyard area,” guest Stephanie Sands told People, adding, “They were dressed very casually. She was wearing a hoodie and big sunglasses. There was no public display of affection between them and no body language that showed they were dating. They just sat together and watched. They were not affiliated with the wedding party and were not seen mingling with guests.”

Katy Perry was rumored to be a factor in Pattinson’s split with Kristen Stewart a few weeks ago. A source told E! News that Perry “played a role, as one of many reasons” in the breakup between Pattinson and Stewart. Though the couple survived a public scandal last summer when Stewart was caught cheating with married director Rupert Sanders, they had reportedly been on shaky ground ever since.

Insiders said Pattinson’s friendship with Katy Perry made Stewart feel insecure, despite the fact that all three had been friends.

“Katy was Kristen’s friend first, but she gets on with Rob brilliantly. It’s clear to everyone that Rob’s got a bit of a crush on Katy and she totally plays up to it,” the source told Heat magazine.

Pattinson and Katy Perry have been spotted together a few other times, including the MET Gala Costume Ball, which Stewart also attended. The new couple also attended the Coachella Music Festival and spent a night together in Los Angeles in early May.
