Amanda Bynes Was Not Sexually Assaulted, Says NYPD

Amanda Bynes went into defense mode after she was arrested last week for throwing a bong out of her apartment window. The actress said that she was going to sue the NYPD and her apartment building over the arrest and claimed that she was sexually assaulted by one of the officers.

The NYPD said that it took the accusation seriously and would investigate the incident. The investigation, however, didn’t yield any proof that Bynes had been assaulted.

Deputy Commissioner Paul J. Browne told E! News in a statement: “NYPD Internal Affairs investigators have found no evidence to corroborate Ms. Bynes’ allegations … To the contrary, a credible civilian witness who was with the officers throughout told investigators that none touched Ms. Bynes inappropriately or otherwise engaged in misconduct at any time.”

Bynes writes: “I’m suing NYPD for illegally entering my apartment, lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia.”

The actress is scheduled to appear in court next month.

Bynes, who recently had her license suspended due to several driving infractions, has been causing some havoc on Twitter recently. The form actress is receiving advice from Courtney Love on the social network and has engaged in another feud with Rihanna. She also claimed that she’ll soon be starting a rap career.
